throwback session: make-up

No (work) day would be complete without emailing my best friend, L.A. Besides the regular chat about work, family, and "brama" (boy drama...mostly somehow today, we got to talking about our appearances - how we looked back then vs. how we look now.  And voila...a throwback moment.

Aaah the late 80s, early to mid 90s...LOL.  Baggy jeans, baggy shirts and hardly any makeup.  Aside from one item that any girl could not leave the house without.  Dark lipstick.  Not just any lipstick.  You had a choice of either 3 shades by Revlon, (sorry to sound like an endorsement ad):

Coffee Bean,

and/or Toast of New York.

One might question wearing that same lipstick now, but back then, it did justice.  With pale faces and dark lips in tote, we sealed the look.  For those of you who don't know or can't picture this look right now, let me refresh your memory.

Hahah...good times, good times.  Although I wouldn't go back to wearing that same lipstick or same look, it was an awesome throwback moment!

So, to all my "gangsta bitches" that did the same, this post is dedicated to you!

oh, just another day at the range....

Ok. So we're starting fresh, right? As per my last post, I think it be fitting to fill you in on what I've been doin the past few months while I "stepped away".

I managed to reel in another lovely lady into the world of the "metal spa", as my sister in law dubs a visit at the gun range.  I took one of my best friends, Shiela, to the ladies night on Fridays at DVC Ventures Indoor Range.  And as I've been saying all along, she was addicted as I was for the first time.

 She started off small.....

...but she learned mighty fast.

It won't be long before we head up another appointment at the metal spa.  Thanks girl. Good times!

peace. love. joy.

Merry Christmas everyone!

I know that it's been a while since I've posted last. Been busy with the new job. But to be honest, I've been quite a loss of words for the past little bit. To sum it up, I guess what I might refer to as my "muse" has somewhat eluded me. LOL.

But now I've decided to start fresh.  It's Christmas, and I would love to start off with wishing you and yours a very blessed and happy filled holiday!  I hope that all the things that inspire us continue to do what we love is never ending and continuous for the rest of this year and the year to come!

Much love!
